Cindy Wider specialises in teaching absolute beginners to draw, paint and get started on a journey of self discovery through art. Cindy is the author of “Paint In Your Pyjamas!”, an award winning professional artist of eighteen years, published illustrator, Drawspace.com art instructor and she is represented by one of the Queensland Sunshine Coast’s leading art galleries, the Cooper Gallery. By openly sharing her experience of transforming her life through painting, drawing and art, every year she personally helps hundreds of adults and children start their own journey of self discovery. Her online teaching methods are inspiring, motivating and easy to understand. |

How does the internet correspondence course work?

Presented in a week by week step-by-step format, this online drawing and painting course is informative and fun. Your tutor provides you with course resources and corresponds with you via the internet, personally providing feedback to guide you through the exercises and projects. You have a choice of studying a certificate course with six units (units may be studied individually or as part of a six unit package), or, the Complete Introduction to Drawing and Shading (11 weeks duration). Each of the six courses are seven weeks in duration, with students studying between four to ten hours per week depending on the unit. These online art lessons are for beginners, no prior art experience is required! Full course notes and instructions are provided. You have the choice to have your work graded if you wish. A certificate is presented at the end of the six unit course, listing the topics you have successfully studied.

“I started Cindy’s beginning art class,’how to draw’, this is my first e-class, from the beginning, I wasn’t to sure why we were doing all of the lines, squiggles, etc, then towards the middle of the class, It became apparent, this is Cindy’s method of teaching control of the tools, the pencil, of learning to see, and of simply slowing down to do the current project. After I finished each project, we down loaded our work to Cindy, Cindy then reviewed the work, making very constructive comments and drawing with a purple pencil to correct my project.
